The Khopra Trek is a moderately challenging trek in the Annapurna region, ideal for those looking for a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path trekking experience. Starting from Ghorepani or Nayapul, trekkers journey through lush rhododendron and oak forests, traditional Gurung villages, and serene landscapes untouched by mass tourism.

The highlight is Khopra Danda (3,660 m / 12,008 ft), a ridge offering spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and other Himalayan peaks. Along the route, trekkers can visit Poon Hill for sunrise views, explore local culture in villages like Banthanti and Tadapani, and enjoy alpine meadows and streams.

This trek usually takes 8–10 days and is suited for moderate-level trekkers. Tea house accommodations, local cuisine, and friendly communities make the Khopra Trek a comfortable and memorable Himalayan adventure.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, airport pickup, and hotel transfer.

Day 2: Drive or fly to Pokhara (827 m / 2,713 ft). Explore the lakeside and relax.

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk (1,940 m / 6,364 ft). Trekking time: ~5–6 hours.

Day 4: Trek to Chomrong (2,170 m / 7,119 ft). Trekking time: ~4–5 hours.

Day 5: Trek to Sinuwa or Hille (2,340 m / 7,677 ft). Trekking time: ~5 hours.

Day 6: Trek to Khopra Danda (3,660 m / 12,008 ft), enjoy sunset and panoramic Himalayan views. Trekking time: ~5–6 hours.

Day 7: Optional hike to Khopra Ridge for sunrise or further exploration. Trek back to Banthanti (2,600 m / 8,530 ft).

Day 8: Trek to Ghorepani (2,860 m / 9,383 ft). Optional hike to Poon Hill for sunrise. Trekking time: ~4–5 hours.

Day 9: Trek down to Nayapul, drive back to Pokhara, relax. Trekking time: ~5–6 hours.

Day 10: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
