This short trek offers an immersive experience into traditional rural life and the rich cultural heritage of Nepal, including sites recognized as UNESCO World Heritage. Along the journey, trekkers are treated to breathtaking views of towering Himalayan peaks such as Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shankar, Langtang, Everest, and Druje Lakpa, all ranging between 7,000–8,000 meters. The trek also provides deep insight into the region’s culture, religion, history, and daily life, set against a backdrop of stunning mountainous terrain. Notable viewpoints along the route include Chisapani, Jhule, Nagarkot, Balthali, and Dhulikhel, each offering spectacular panoramas of the surrounding landscapes.
Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu
Pick up from the airport and transfer to your hotel. On the way, we will have a brief discussion about the trek package and itinerary.
Day 2 – Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation
Explore the highlights of Kathmandu Valley and prepare for the upcoming trek, ensuring all arrangements are in place.
Day 3 – Drive to Sundarijal & Trek to Chisapani
Drive approximately 45 minutes to Sundarijal and begin the trek to Chisapani (2,300 m). Trekking duration: 5–6 hours through lush forests and scenic trails.
Day 4 – Trek to Nagarkot
Continue trekking to Nagarkot (2,200 m), enjoying panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges along the way. Trekking duration: 6–7 hours.
Day 5 – Changu Narayan, Bhaktapur & Return to Kathmandu
Trek to the ancient Changu Narayan Temple, continue to the historic city of Bhaktapur, and then drive back to Kathmandu, completing your short Himalayan adventure.
